Kouta Kazuraba

"This is my stage now!" - Kouta as Gaim, before fighting.

Kouta Kazuraba (葛葉 紘汰 Kazuraba Kōta) is the main protagonist in Kamen Rider Gaim. He uses an Orange Lockseed to transform into Kamen Rider Gaim, while in wield of the Sengoku Driver where he picked up from the Helheim Forest, the place where Yuuya Sumii went missing. He then was nicknamed "Armored Rider Gaim" from DJ Sagara. At first, he didn't understand what was the power behind Gaim, and later on uses it to defend Zawame City, before claiming the Golden Fruit and becoming Man of the Beginning. Kouta is portrayed by Gaku Sano. Young Kouta was portrayed by Hayate Torii.

History

In Transform! The Orange from the Sky, is shown with Kouta helping out a kid find his mom. AFter successfully finding the mother, Kouta goes to check out the Beat Riders, after leaving them for a long time.

When he arrived, Kouta found an Inves, because Mai Takatsukasa dropped her Lockseed in an Inves Game. He successfully defeats the Inves before getting scolded by Mai. Later, he goes home and finds his elder sister, Akira Kazuraba. He tells her that one day he wishes to transform, before getting punched in the gut, telling him that he's too outrageous.

Later, he and Mai went to a mysterious place, which was actually the Helheim Forest. They find a Sengoku Driver lying on the ground, before Kouta picked it up. He got pulled behind a tree, with Mai pointing out that monsters are from here. Mai explains to Kouta that Yuuya Sumii, the leader of the Beat Riders, have bought a Sengoku Driver and has been missing in this same forest. Suddenly, a Byakko Inves came and started fighting them.

Mai and Kouta ran out of the forest, along with the Byakko Inves, that chased after Kouta. Kouta didn't knew what to do, so he told Mai to go to safety. He started fighting the Inves himself.

During the fight, he got chased to a building, with the Inves. It went to him and started attacking him. He saw the Sengoku Driver before putting it on. He then took the Lockseed and started examining the belt with the Lockseed slot, before inserting it in.

He then kept frantically examining the driver, hoping to transform soon, which he does. He started fighting the Byakko Inves, before pulling out his sword.

He started slicing the Inves, and later wins. Mai came and Kouta reverted back. He is now in joy, knowing he can transform.

Transformations

Kouta will take the Sengoku Driver and put on his waist, automatically making the strap of the belt to go. He will then take out any Lockseed and before inserting he will say the transformation line and insert it into the slot. He will then knock the top of the Lockseed. He will then hold the sword's handle and chop the Lockseed open.

The Ride Wear will go on him and then the armor. He will then move a bit, and don't forget, he has weapons.

Personality

Kouta in the beginning, did not realize what was the ability to transform into Gaim for, and used for dancing and his own use. After he got scarred for life, almost getting himself killed by Kamen Rider Zangetsu, he gives away his belt, but naturally calms down the fear and fight once again.

Kouta was somewhat clumsy when first use of the Gaim Lockseed, even causing his boss a lot of trouble and eventually quitting.

Kouta wants to protect the lives of humans, and is willing to go through whatever struggle he has. When the war started beginning, he wanted to grow up, and successfully does.

He does not want to kill people, even if he has to, such as Ryouji Hase. Even if their become a monster, he still wants to protect them, trying to confront them, and try to save them.

Kouta, also likes dancing. He also tries to support his friends all the way, before becoming Man of the Beginning. But even so, as Man of the Beginning he will occasionally drop by to Earth to check out what had happened.
